This modern Byzantine painting, titled "Divine Light: The Way, Truth, and Life," captures Jesus Christ with a powerful gaze that radiates divine certainty, conveying His role as our Savior. Christ's hand is raised in blessing, indicating His divine mission, while His left hand holds the Gospel, the bearer of His joyful teachings. The vibrant, layered colors enhance His depiction as a divine beacon, guiding humanity with light and spiritual truth. This artwork blends traditional Byzantine elements with a contemporary flair.

This is an icon that is the completion of the iconographic searches of Bishop Maximos during the last years. The main characteristics of this pictorial perception are the following: 1. From a spiritual point of view, it is the look of eyes that look at us with deep love, which is ontologically the real way, truth, and life. The absolute PANTOKRATOR bends down from His divine height and embraces His beloved creature with His humble, loving gaze. 2. From a color point of view, the face emits a cheerful light that results from the interweaving of complementary, i.e., warm orange and cool oil strokes. 3. From a structural point of view, the garments are built with the sparkling light of the colors, which creates a photostructure. It is not the dark lines that usually structure the drawing in painting, on which the image is structured. It is the bright lines that structure this very interesting painting. We would say we have a fiery work. Πρόκειται για μια εικόνα που αποτελεί την ολοκλήρωση των εικονογραφικών αναζητήσεων του Επισκόπου Μαξίμου κατά τα τελευταία έτη. Τα κυρία χαρακτηριστικά αυτής της εικονογραφική αντιλήψεως είναι τα εξής: 1. Από πνευματικής απόψεως είναι το βλέμμα των ματιών που μας κοιτούν με βαθειά αγάπη, η οποία είναι οντολογικά η πραγματική οδός, αλήθεια και ζωή. Ο απόλυτος ΠΑΝΤΟΚΡΑΤΩΡ σκύβει από το θεϊκό Του ύψος και αγκαλιάζει με το ταπεινό αγαπητικό Του βλέμμα το πολυαγαπημένο Του πλάσμα. 2. Από χρωματικής πλευράς το πρόσωπο εκπέμπει ένα φως ιλαρό το οποίο προκύπτει από συνύφανση συμπληρωματικών, δηλαδή θερμών πορτοκαλιών και ψυχρών λαδιών πινελιών. 3. Από δομικής πλευράς τα ενδύματα χτίζονται με το απαστράπτον φως των χρωμάτων, τα οποία δημιουργούν φωτοδομή. Δεν είναι οι σκούρες γραμμές που συνήθως δομούν στη ζωγραφική το σχέδιο , πάνω στο οποίο δομείται η εικόνα. Είναι οι φωτεινές γραμμές που δομούν αυτή την πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα ζωγραφική. Θα λέγαμε  πως έχουμε ένα έργο πυριφλεγές. Σαν ηφαίστειο που ξυπνάει από ύπνο και χαράζει την πορεία της πυρίκαυστης λάβας της αγαπητικής πυρκαγιάς που είναι « το φως το φωτίζοντας πάντα άνθρωπον ερχόμενον εν τω κοσμω».
